New Windham Town Hall stop and all the route changes to start next week!

New Windham Town Hall Stop
A new stop on High St next to the Windham Town Hall has been installed. This stop will be used from August 19th onwards on the Willimantic Central route when travelling westbound (towards Gateway Commons). Riders travelling eastbound (towards Walmart) should use the Noble Hall stop.

Changes to Mansfield Bus Pass
Mansfield Bus Pass holders will now be able to travel for free on all WRTD Local Routes. Transfer tickets can be issued for WRTD Commuter Routes with an additional $1.50 or 1 punch. This program is funded by the Town of Mansfield.

Changes to Transfers from/to other transit services
From Monday, August 19, 2019 onwards:
– No extra cost for transfer from a SEAT bus
– No extra cost for transfer from a CT Transit bus
– We can longer issue or accept transfer ticketss from/to NECTD buses.

Reminder – New routes start next Monday, August 19th!
Next week we switch to the new and revised routes:
– 671 Willimantic East (Route 66)
– 672 Willimantic Central
– 674 Storrs-Willimantic
– 991 Willimantic-Norwich (Route 32)
– 993 Willimantic-Danielson

As a reminder, the new Hunting Lodge Route starts one week later on 8/26 when the UConn semester starts.

UConn student? Remember to apply for your new U-Pass!
Fall U-Passes are now available and will be valid from August 1st onward. All UConn students can claim their free U-Pass to ride for FREE on many buses and trains in Connecticut, including WRTD’s services.
